This course is designed to provide an introduction to the use of computers and covers three areas: components of a computer and how they function, common work tasks performed with computers and how to purchase a computer. Through discussion, demonstration and hands-on activities, participants gain basic knowledge of the Windows Operating System as well as an introduction to the MS Office Suite and the Internet. Finally, participants may use the Internet to comparison shop for a computer.
