Member is named employee of year

Kings County Hospital has named Local 420 member Michael J. Lashley, a Nurses Aide in the Emergency Radiology Division, its employee of the year. Lashley received the award Feb. 2 at the Annual Employee Recognition Awards luncheon held at Health and Hospitals Corp. headquarters in Manhattan.

HHC President Alan D. Aviles praised the members at the luncheon for their dedication and hard work. “No matter what your job is, all our hospitals, our long-term care facilities, our neighborhood health centers, and ultimately, our patients are touched and enhanced by your work and concern,” said Aviles at the awards luncheon.

Praised as a resourceful worker and team player who makes a difference, Lashley joined the staff at KCH 19 years ago.
