Workers Memorial Day

Details: The labor movement commemorates Workers Memorial Day to remember those who have suffered and died on the job and to renew the fight for safe workplaces. This year the NYC Central Labor Council with the NY Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH) and the Greater NY Labor Religion Coalition will gather at 92 Laight St. in lower Manhattan where a parking attendant drowned during Hurricane Sandy. May Day 2013

Time/Location: 5 pm (DC 37 assembles at southeast corner of Chambers St. & Broadway)
6 pm Rally at City Hall Park (Broadway side)

Details: Join in support of public sector workers and the communities they serve, and immigrant rights! Stand up for the rights of all workers to join a union! DC 37 will assemble at the southeast corner of Chambers St. and Broadway at 5:00 pm. Look for the DC 37 banner. Rally starts at 6:00 pm at City Hall Park (Broadway side).
