"With the election over, we want to congratulate our winning candidates, especially our newly elected State Senator and DC 37 member Diane Savino who won with 71 percent of the vote. We also congratulate Senator Charles Schumer, who we have always supported, on his landslide victory. Ninety-eight percent of our endorsed candidates won reelection. Thanks to all of our members who worked so diligently on this great get-out-the-vote effort. We are going to continue fighting for our issues - quality healthcare, quality education, and a fair share for our members. Our political action operation is effective and impressive.
