MAT – Member Action Team

Join the conversation and get involved!

The Member Action Team is a committee established at the worksite to make our union visible and active in the workplace.

Because our workers face so many challenges we must build our communication and mobilization to fight and win for DC 37 members, whether at the workplace, the community, and at the state level.

Our Member Action Teams ensure that all members are educated and engaged in the issues and challenges that effect our union at the workplace, empowering our members to organize and take action.

Objective:

• Build a communication and mobilization network.
• One activist (local leader, steward, or activist) regularly communicates one-on-one with co-workers.
• MAT activists listen, inform and organize members to be active in the union.
• MAT may be used for petition drives, get involved in lobbying, and turn out for important meetings and rallies.
