Affordable Housing Assistance
- Rental Assistance: The Department of Social Services (DSS), which includes both the Department of Homeless Services (DHS) and the Human Resources Administration (HRA), can help you connect to rental assistance programs like CityFHEPS, and many other programs available through the State and Federal Government.
- Homebase: Provides New Yorkers experiencing housing instability in the community with various homeless prevention services and aftercare services to families and individuals exiting NYC DHS shelter to permanent housing.
- NY Housing Search: A free service to find affordable homes in New York.
Defending Members’ Rights
DC 37’s affordable housing program and free legal services can help you with threats of foreclosure or eviction, mortgage issues or other housing problems.
