Mission Statement
The mission of the DC 37 Jewish Heritage Committee is to:
- Bring together individuals of the Jewish faith to discuss issues of importance to our heritage and our everyday environment.
- Encourage non-Jews to participate in our committee and events to foster understanding of multi-cultural issues in our society.
- Foster communication between the community and union members.
- Be charitable as a group to institutions that need our assistance.
- Become familiar with community groups through various events and encourage participation in these events.
- Share our heritage with each other at special events such as the lighting of the Hanukkah candles at DC 37.
- Encourage and foster understanding of Jewish social issues to our members.
